Manoir branding, how to keep the feeling of history in a modern brand identity?
When the new owners bought this beautiful French manoir fulfilled with history, the only branding element was a metallic initial on the entrance door.
We were happy to work with a property so rich in history. The manoir is located in Dordogne, which is a historically interesting area of France. The Manor was open for the guests as a luxury bed and breakfast, with the owners living onsite.
The request was to keep the old initials as a basis and to create from it a more modern logo and especially a digital logo, possible to use on business cards, website, social media and so on.
The new owners gave each room floral and herbal names, from which we’ve got our inspiration.
We decided to keep the initials and found a typeface that will fully reflect the history of the place and fits the old initials. It’s important to have all elements digitalized. Manoir branding is all about showing the history of the place but keeping it modern.
The client wishes to have a social media assistant on site, but as we’re located on different continents, we’ve offered social media coaching.
