E-commerce branding: Nostalgia Vintage Posters

Branding is important for e-commerce. Whether it’s closings, electronics, design items, or even groceries, customers buy increasingly from eCommerce stores, which presents a huge opportunity for commerce. Many people will only buy from recognized brand names and ignore the rest. That’s why building a recognizable and attractive eCommerce brand plays such a crucial role in improving the chances of eCommerce business success.

Nostalgia vintage posters is a collection of vintage posters, carefully selected by a French collector since 1967. It was an honour for us to create the branding and the website for Nostalgia vintage posters in 2021.

To create the branding we found our inspiration in the posters from the collection. It was interesting to discover that Vintage posters were often being coloured with gouache by hand. From that, we decided to go for the basic colours: blue, red, and yellow. Later, on the advice of our client, we add the green colour. The reason is that in printing itself are often in use RGB colours ( red, green, blue).

For the typeface, we choose an open-source font, which reflects the last century with a font similar to Century Gothic.

We created a logo with the idea that it should be easily recognisable and responsive. The logo should be used for different placements, from the website to the printed stickers and communications with clients.

The website

To power the website we use WordPress with Woo-commerce. The main point was to find the easiest to use, and easy to support platform. We have chosen Woo commerce over Shopify.

We set up all the Woo commerce plugin with a fixed number of posters for the website launching. To make it easier for our client.

Details

It’s important to make your customer feel nice emotions when they receive your package, especially during the unpacking process. We created a design for the delivery tube, and a business card to add inside, with all contacts.
