Humour in Marketing is a tool that has been used since the dawn of advertising’s conception. People love things that are funny and we are naturally attracted to humour. The funny person at the party is always the one that has people gathered around them listening. Humour gets attention and we understand this very well.
The key to funny advertising is assuring the humour is appropriate to both product and customer. Not to mention that if your customer is laughing on your ad and can relate to the situation you have won his attention. But you should be aware, that in the opposite situation, you can loos a customer because of inappropriate jokes.
Indeed a great example is the special ad for Russian language courses for expats living in Russia. The courses were organised in collaboration with Intermark relocation.
